Chiefs got Kyle Beach. I told myself I'd stop swearing (as much) on here, so all apologies, but I really hate that fucker.
Thankfully, especially with Bob's history of trading with Lethbridge, the AMS did not trade for him.
I wonder how he'll be greeted by the fans, not a lot of love for him there. Or anywhere for that matter.
What a waste of talent. Well, BFF will be happy.

I want to go to the airport when he gets here and hold up a sign that says "GO BACK....I DON'T CARE WHERE TO, JUST GO BACK" I literally screamed when I found out. What the HELL were they thinking?? This is the STUPIDEST most pointless trade EVER. With these new fighting rules, he is going to cost the Chiefs lots of $$$ in fines. Can you tell I am not excited about this in the least bit?

I think that this is a good thing. It will ignite the rivalry even more, puts a player on the ice that neither us Ams or the Chiefs like, and add many more penalty minutes to the Chiefs game. We need to get our special teams clicking, find a little toughness to be able to combat Beach's bullshit, and have a goalie step up and play well. We might have to make a move for the toughness peice, Schmidt can't do it all.

@anonymous--can Schmidt do any of it, let alone all of it? I mean, he's tough, not exactly an enforcer, IMO.
Beach is a yapper, not a fighter, I don't know that fighting him is a solution to him. Let him talk, let him be stupid and get suspended...repeatedly.

To answer your question, we can sit back and watch Beach get suspended, however, if it comes to the health of our players.. (ie. Letts on Pickard last year), I think someone needs to answer back with something on that player. Schmidt is the only viable answer at this point..I agree by no means is he in enforcer... but Beach can be the guy to take cheap shots.. the yapping we can ignore, but we can't ignore the constant cheap shots on our players. I feel we need to bring in or have someone create that toughness for our team.
In past years we agitate Beach with our speed, now as he has been put in the middle of a rivalry between us and Spokane, we may see Beach try to ignite more against us. Saturday should be an interesting night... we shall see what role he decides to claim on an already solid Cheifs team.

You're right, Beach will cheap shot.
Schmidt isn't the only one who will answer, Plouffe will step up, Asuchak will, hell, even Shinny will. Not that he should...
I'm gonna guess Beach will behave himself here in the beginning, like last season, and his bad habits will creep back.
Personally, I like the team we have now, finally there is some size (Schmidt, Asuchack, Sutherland, Messier, Macek even) in addition to the speed.

I guess that those guys are willing to mix it up. My thought process is that there is no one there that will have the presence of stopping things from happening before it starts. We don't have someone that is intimidating to fend of the dirty play. I know that our boys will answer the bell after the fact...just wish we had an intimidator before things happened. I love all of our boys! I am stoked for another great year.

And not only that, jared spurgeon, and Ryan "The fucking Man" Letts arn't even back into the line-up. Gosh, can't wait for the game this saturday. Yes, the "circus" is coming to town and its gonnna kick some tri-shitty ass! suck it!
