The AMS hotness level just dropped exponentially
Humps reassigned. Sad day.
from AMS website:
Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has reassigned 17-year-old defenseman Spencer Humphries to the Westside Warriors of the British Columbia Hockey League. The move is effective immediately and reduces the club roster to 25 players (15 forwards, 8 defensemen and 2 goaltenders). Can't say I'm totally surprised, there was (is?) a ton of depth at defense and sadly, Humps was probably the weakest link. I see a lot of potential in this kid, but at the same time, I didn't see that he'd improved a whole lot from last season. He was still good, but just not quite good enough. That being said, I'm glad he was reassigned not traded.
Notice also the part that says 2 goaltenders. From Russia With Glove is still on the roster, but that could just be because website isn't updated, who knows. Or since he's not under WHL contract either. Whatever, I believe in Drew Owsley. "whoo whoo whoo needs Pechurski?" :)

Ahh, got Humps to sign my Belarussian flag literally hours before he was reassigned.
Woo-hoo.
Look for it in Section R!
Told ya it would be a younger guy. With no 17 year olds and two 16 years old on the D corps I predict any d trades will involve a 19 or 20 year old from the Ams.
Our Humps, our Humps, our lovely Spencer Humps. :( :( :(
LOL Spokant!!!!
I called it a couple comments down.
And I still think we'll likely not finish the year without moving probably 1 more defenseman.
Also for other Anonymous, Dow is 17 and Yuen is 16 so we only have 1 16 y/o defensemen. But in fairness I think Dow and Yuen are both ahead of Humphries at this point. Hopefully this doesn't hurt his attitude, we'll definitely need him next year. This has more to do with our depth on Defense than him not being able to play at this level.
Good luck Humps
