not gonna look...not gonna look....
I will not look at message boards today.
I will not look at message boards today.

If I were to look, I'm sure I would find people completely losing their shit. It's one loss. They played shitty. It was bound to happen sometime. Let's move on.
It should be noted, that while they didn't play great, they did manage 44 shots on goal, waayyyy more than I would have imagined having listened to that game. Who the hell is this Gore kid anyways?
They played with no heart, no organization. All Chilliwack goals were from the inability to clear away rebounds. That's not on Drew, that's on the team in front of him. That being said, I think our little Owl should maybe rest a game, one of the ones against PG this weekend. Let's see what Marty can do, he's earned the chance (I assume, unless he's been sucking in practice).
See the comments section on liveblog post for some additional thoughts.
Positives: Jordan Messier is bestier. He had the only 2 AMS goals. This is good. He can be an offensive threat and it's good to see his hard work paying off. Another positive, I hope, is that this can be a good learning experience, something to build off of. There's a quote that I'll paraphrase because I don't remember it exactly, but something along the lines of "Winning doesn't reveal character, losing does". In other words, how they rebound from this loss and learn from it will be more character building than a 10-win record.
*I probably will at some point and then want to punch myself in the face with a brick.

The message boards werent too bad today...some people basically just saying that there was no effort or passion to win that game. Some others were quick to point out that it's only one loss and to calm down so it wasnt really bad. I can't gurantee you won't want to punch yourself in the face afterwards though haha
If you want a good laugh head over to the Spoke board and listen to them cry about their losses HAHAHAHAHAHAH
I think this loss was a good thing believe it or not and something every team needs so I'm not going to freak out yet :)
thankfully I have lost the address for the Spokane board. :)
I'm not as upset about it as I was last night now that I've seen the SOG. It seemed like they were lacking that killer instinct, but the effort was still there. They had a lousy night for puck luck and like you mentioned, didn't clear the rebounds.
It could be worse. I'll take a loss to Chilliwack over a loss to Spokane any day.
losing builds character? If that is the case I will update you on the awesome character of my team when we are eliminated from playoff contention in January (yes, for those who don't know- my team DO suck that bad)
