STOLI'S THE MAN and it's liveblog time
Our Sergei Drozd got himself a hattie and player of the game yesterday in a loss to Canada East at the Junior A tourney. What a stud. Check out the game sheet here, ass pat to Wangler for the heads-up!
The boys, minus Stoli, are in that shithole Kamloops tonight to take on the Blazers. Just kidding about the shithole part*. Here's the rink (from the outside, and in summer):
Part of me wondering if Brett gets another start in net? All I know is Asuchak better get to play, it's his hometown.
I also hope the boys all went over to The Dirty Jersey for some yummy chicken wings. om nom nom nom. Or to the Nando's. Because Nando's is effing delicious. I miss Canada. Not Kamloops so much, but I'd take it just cuz there's Tim Horton's there.
*I'm not kidding. It wouldn't be so bad if a drunken crazy person had not been the one designing the layout of all the streets. The only thing I liked about this place was the amazing chicken wings at The Dirty Jersey. Sorry 'Loops, you're a dud.

i liked pickard. what letts did was wrong, yet you continue to bash him for his actions when all players make bad decisions.
the only time I've mentioned it in months (many) since it happened is when people on the ams message board brought it up *AGAIN*. That is one of those instances that I avoid for this very reason.
yes, assy ran toka, yes they got over it. I can personally say that I got over it and the Letts incident too. Some AMS fans have not. just as some Chiefs fans have not got over Assy hitting toka. again, these are the fuckers who ruin it for everyone because we all get lumped together.

This is the only thing I'm going to contribute here... there is a difference between what Assy did and what Letts did.
#1 Tokarski was playing the puck. No, this does not mean that Spencer should have checked him from behind, but he did it in an attempt to separate Tokarski from the puck.
#2 Tokarski was behind the net and the game was still in play. Pickard was in crease, holding the puck AFTER the whistle had been blown.
#3 Spencer made a stupid decision in the heat of the moment. Letts elbowed Chet in the head after ample time in which he could have stopped skating.
#4 Letts acted like a fucking dick and pointed at the Ams bench after he did it. Spencer justifiably got pummeled by Cowen.
#5 The WHL did not determine Spencer's hit to be severe enough to warrant a suspension. Letts got 10 games.
I'm as over it as I can be, but that comparison drives me nuts.
@Trishitty--I believe I can say i hate the chiefs. as for the goalie-running ways comment, that was after a game when chiefs WERE LAYING ON MY GOALIE.
you see the game as a chiefs fan, i see it as an ams fan, we're going to disagree. but disagreement can happen in an intelligent, respectful manner.
Okay, I'll take 2,3, and 4. But 1? Really? The puck was NOT stopped, the whistle sounded shortly AFTER Lettsy hit Pickard. And 5...well, I would say the outcome is what got him the ten, not the intent.
