Player recap--Patrick Holland
Ass-pat to Mr. Spokant for pointing out I was not, in fact, finished with the player recaps, that I'd forgotten Holly. I'm not surprised with myself for forgetting, I'm awesome like that.
When I set out to write these recaps, I knew it'd be a glowing analysis of Holland. Him getting drafted this weekend confirms the good things I have to say about him.
Patrick Holland was a rookie this past season, can you even believe it? He sure didn't play like one. He has decent size and a whole boatload of skill and talent. As a rookie, Holly played 59 regular season games and amassed 36 points (16g 20a). He got 10 more points in 22 playoff games.
Patrick is a well-rounded player, not afraid to check or be checked. He skates very well and has great vision. He was my choice for Rookie of the Year back at the halfway mark and sure enough, he received that award at the end of the regular season. I am quite excited to see what he can bring to the table this upcoming season, it's going to be fun to watch him, that's for sure.
Holly's Look-Alike is no one? This is what MyHeritage had (on the 3rd attempt):
