You've got to be kidding me

From Buzzing the Net today:
Tri-City goalie Drew Owsley, who hadn't been making much impact on the series through three games, made 47 saves in Game 4, including several sparklers in overtime. (BTN)
"hadn't been making much impact on the series"

HADN'T BEEN MAKING MUCH IMPACT ON THE SERIES.

You cannot be serious.  Owsley stopped 35 shots in game 1 compared to 18 for Reid.  He stopped 40 in game 2, Reid had 15.  In game 3, Owsley stopped 41, Reid 21.  Drew MF Owsley is the only thing that kept games 2 and 3 from being complete blowouts by the Chiefs.  And the only thing that kept the Americans in game 1 to win it.  To say he hasn't made an impact on the series is just flat out ignorance.  I doubt article author Scott Sepich has even watched a game of this series to know what the hell he's talking about.  And if he has watched these games, then he's just stupid.  Toss in this bullshit and I think I've got my answer:
Even more amazing, the teams played more than 82 minutes and no holes opened up on the Toyota Center ice
STFU.  I'd almost rather Buzzing the Net not even mention the Americans if that's the crap they're going to write.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt, eh Scott Sepich?

Good god, who the fuck wrote that drivel? You don't even have to have watched the games or any video to know Owsley has made a HUGE impact on the series. Just look at the goddamned scoresheet.

Are you gonna flip out?

Fuck em. Let the world underestimate our Owl. That only makes him stronger.

Maybe he's watching the same game that the refs are watching?

Just saw this. And I'm here to accept my beating. You're absolutely right, it was an asinine comment. Sometimes in writing quickly things aren't thought through very well. My intent was actually to praise Owsley but it clearly didn't come through that way. I simply forgot about how he essentially stole Game 1. My thought process when I typed that was that as valiantly as he fought in Games 2 and 3, he didn't have much of a chance, whereas in Game 4 he was finally able to to put his stamp on a big win. Of course, forgetting Game 1 at the time I wasn't thinking that he had already done that.

In other words, I f-d up and deserve the reaction I got from you guys. I'd just hate for you to judge BTN on the whole based on a dumb tossed-off comment that I didn't think through.

FWIW, I'd take Owsley over Reid and every other goalie in the Western Conference except maybe Adam Brown.

As for the hole comment, that was just poking fun. Every barn has its quirks and/or issues.
