Well, that was quick
Shinny spent more time with the Coyotes than with their farm team:
Edwards has already released one player as Brendan Shinnimin was sent back to the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League. (Maine Hockey Journal)A lot of speculation about what will happen to the Americans roster now. I don't even care to venture a guess, it's going to break my heart no matter what.

File under WTF? Jordan Messier was given 2 games:
Two games under supplemental discipline versus Portland on September 25 (WHL)During the game he was assessed a 2-minute minor for interference, so I don't know what this is for. Anyone have any insight?

I've seen on FB it being said he threw a towel into the stands while he was in the PB after Por scored a goal. I don;t know but the suspy could be for that. I remember when Boychuk got into it last year with Ams fans he had the same thing or close to it. But then again he was kicked out of the game so maybe the suspy was for his actions to cause his GM
As Shinnimin spent his time in the Coyotes main camp without playing in any of the three games while there I feel that the coaches had already made a decision the he was a keeper and wanted to look at others who they had not already decided the fate of. They then sent him to Portland and as the first day of their camp was Monday, same day that it was reported that he was being sent back.
It doesn't make sense that Phoenix would pay the costs to send him to Portland to only release him the first day of camp. I suspect that he was probaly released due to problems in arriving at a contract both sides could agree to rather than his inability to make the team.
