Game Day vs Kelowna

Second part of the home-at-home against the Rockets, hopefully this one works out in the Americans' favor.

It's a slow news day around the internet as far as relevant information pertaining to the Ams, I was debating posting anything.  But then you'd be sad.

I will note, however, that Brian Williams #2 (drafted 2011) is still on the protected player list.  It was mentioned in the comments on the post yesterday that he wasn't.  That list is here.  Not sure what list people were looking at that said he was dropped, but he's still there. 

From the looks of it, the new guy, another Mac, fits the mold of the Americans--listed at 5'10, 179 pounds.  Hope he's quick, then he'll totally fit in--small and speedy.  He'll obviously need a nickname.  Big Mac is reserved in my heart (& RL's) for Matt MacKenzie.  Sorry MacMaster.  And now we have two Macs--Royer and MacMaster.  Nickname ideas?  Anyone?  Bueller?

Speaking of asking for favors, remember a couple years ago the Ams had tribute to troops night and had camo-ish jerseys.  Anyone have one I could borrow next week?  Pretty please?  I promise to be nice to it.

In case you missed it, some of the charges against former American Aaron Boogaard were dropped, though he still faces charges of interfering with crime scene. You can read the rest here.  The Houston Aeros are still figuring out final roster, but here's their most up-to-date and Aaron is still on it.

I got an email from the man, the myth, the legend himself, Craig West.  He informed me that USTREAM has an app for listening to the games.  So if you have iphone or android, search the apps for USTREAM, find Tri-City Americans and you'll get a better feed--"difference of night and day".
