Game Day vs. Seattle

I love it when funny stuff lands in my inbox:

I LOL'd.

Drinnan has update on Ams goalie situation:
The Tri-City Americans have returned G Troy Trembley to the SJHL’s Melville Millionaires. . . . G Evan Sarthou, a third-round selection in the 2012 bantam draft, will join the Americans and be on the bench in support of starter Luke Lee-Knight, at least for tonight’s game against the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds. . . . Sarthou, from Black Diamond, Wash., plays for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings of the Tier 1 AAA Elite League. . . . This juggling was necessitated by the season-ending hip injury suffered be Eric Comrie.  (Taking Note)
Bob Tory has informed me the above statement isn't correct.  "He returned to Melville to pick up his car and is returning to Tri city as we speak. He will remain with us for the remainder of the season. Evan Sarthou will back up tonite and will join our team for practise as his schedule permits."

But for now it's LLK's job:
“The obvious, is Eric is a great young goalie — you just can’t replace him,” Tri-City coach Jim Hiller said. “Luke, in every game, has played well. He played four in a row before we found out the bad news. We all feel bad for Eric, but we are excited about how we are playing. Luke has come in and stood tall.”

The newness of being a starter in the Western Hockey League still is growing on Lee-Knight, 19.

“The effects haven’t worn off yet,” he said. “I’m still really excited, but I know I have to be accountable every night and go out and play my hardest. I just hope to make the most of it.” (Herald)
